The role:
The IT Program Manager is responsible for managing all development, integration, and transformation activities for assigned strategic initiatives in the Transformation Leadership Office. The role is accountable for ensuring the execution of the strategy while achieving Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and managing the transformation program and projects to successful completion through industry accepted project methodology and standards. Ability to work on complex, cross-functional, large revenue impacting initiatives as both a program and project manager, dependent on the work.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive project plans/timelines that set deadlines and assign responsibilities for the entire program. Identify and manage potential risks to the success of projects by assessing their likelihood of occurrence and potential impact and establishing a mitigation plan. Monitor program progress on a regular, ongoing basis and update the project plan to reflect actual performance.
- Anticipate needs and prepare others for the change needed. Influence up and across organizations with credibility to create buy-in for change with all aspects of the initiative. Apply change management principles within Deluxe to deliver on required change.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships. Partner with customers, internal and external partners and vendors on strategic initiatives and projects, ensure deliverables meet delivery expectations and Deluxe goals.
- Design, plan, and deliver successful communication needs. Able to manage executives and others to deliver effective communication and lead communication strategies for both internal Deluxe and the acquired organization. Prepare project status reports for internal stakeholders.
- Conduct formal lessons learned sessions with stakeholders to uncover additional opportunities for process improvement. Lead initiatives to improve the project methodology and underlying processes/artifacts, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, business, or related field
- 3 years of experience in project or program management
- Experience delivering software products, solutions integrations, and/or IT infrastructure with good conceptual understanding of underlying technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active PMP Certification
- Bachelor's degree information technology, communications, business or related field
- 4 years of experience in program management within financial technology
- Agile and/or Scrum certification
