Here's the Gist :
The IT Program Manager will report to the head of the Director of Network and Infrastructure and will take on program/project management roles aligned with various IT delivery leader on critical initiatives.
The position will provide program and project management in addition to large project management leadership and execution to help ensure the successful delivery of targeted business benefits from IT investments.
The Day-to-Day:
- Support operations, including:
- Supports organizational and IT leadership in overseeing, managing and using the entire life cycle of investments and initiatives to achieve the organization's goals and objectives
- Identifies, prioritizes and coordinates project and program resources engaged with all or many of the initiatives within the project portfolio
- Supports the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards in order to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery
- Provide program-level leadership and management for strategic Wolfspeed IT-enabled initiatives, including:
- Leads the development of the overall approach for the program, its major time frames and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.
- Partners with the executive sponsor to communicate program goals, objectives and potential outcomes.
- Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
- Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, and on behalf of the executive sponsor or senior responsible owner.
- Directs the creation and maintenance of the required program documentation and artifacts.
- Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
- Ensures and balances the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.
- Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.
- Leads the oversight of program projects' execution, their progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables.
- Monitors and coordinates dependencies across the projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
- Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program committee/board meetings.
- Provide project management for large/complex IT projects, including:
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project team to outline work plan.
- Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
- Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.
- Ensure that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives.
- Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel (contract or in house.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation, including regular status reports.
- Continuously benchmark project management performance to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in project and portfolio management.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in senior project management roles for a large-scale Global Business
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities with excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability and desire to engage with all functions/businesses across a global enterprise in driving project activities forward as well as resolving project related issues or mitigating project risks
- Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
- Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
- Ability to influence and lead change
- Proven ability to deliver despite obstacles
- Ability to work within a 24/7 environment across multiple time zones
- Ability to travel domestically (25%) and internationally (10%)
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related fields
- Experience with one or more project management methodologies (for example, PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2 and agile)
- Proficient with the Project and Portfolio Management Tools (MS-Project, MS-SharePoint, MS-Excel, etc.)
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) / Program Management Professional Certification (PgMP) preferred
