Job Summary
Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as software architectural patterns, continuous integration and continuous deployment, web frameworks, implementation of software standards, with expertise in software engineering, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our IC, DoD, and civilian customers.
The Engineering Application Department is part of the Information Systems and Cyber Division. The department performs development and research focused on advanced visualizations, immersive technologies, web technologies, and software delivery for our government and civil customers.
This position can be considered a hybrid role: partially remotely with some onsite work in El Segundo, CA.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support a wide variety of Civil Systems Group and Space Systems Command customers through laboratory support
- Coordinates activities of a project team by working with functional management to allocate project resource needs and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
- Identifies and coordinates changes in project scope
- Communicates with internal and external parties regarding status of specific projects
- Develops best practices and tools for project execution and management and ensures adherence to governance policies and procedures
- Conducts project meetings and provides analytical guidance to project teams. Recommends and takes action to develop solutions to problems
- Drafts, submits, tracks, and reports on project budget information
- Identifies project risk areas and works with management to mitigate prior to any negative project impacts
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- Typically 1-5 years of relevant experience with Associate's Degree in a related discipline, or 5 or more years of relevant experience with High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience supporting, configuring, and maintaining assigned applications
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems
- Must work well in a team environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness to take initiative strongly preferred
- Ability to work both independently, as a team leader, and cooperatively within a team is strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are strongly preferred
- Experience in supporting, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, hardware, applications, and system automation and configuration management technologies
- Coordinates with other support teams including network, security, application, customer, and as applicable vendor teams regarding lab applications
- Current and active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information access TS/SCI government clearance

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$74,464 - $96,845 - $119,226
