Summary:

Meriplex is a mid-enterprise, nationwide IT Managed service provider. It has an aggressive growth strategy that includes significant M&A activity. The business intends to purchase several companies a year for the foreseeable future, and the efficient integration of these businesses is instrumental to the growth in the value of Meriplex. We are looking for a project manager to lead the integration of the acquired companies’ operation and IT infrastructure into Meriplex. To be considered for this role, the candidate must be an excellent communicator with great attention to detail and possesses excellent organization and documentation skills. A successful candidate is someone who is highly self-motivated and has the ability in creating relationships throughout the business. This candidate must be confident and possess strong leadership skills to hold workstream leaders accountable to project timelines while being seen as a business partner on the team.

Project managers are the driving force behind the success of projects or programs Meriplex seeks to accomplish. Day to day, they align projects with business goals, construct detailed work plans, manage teams, achieve milestones, and communicate the result across a stakeholder audience.


Qualifications of the Desired Candidate:

· Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders

· Ability to move initiatives forward in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model

· Strong team player and collaborator with ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization

· Ability to quickly build relationships and influence colleagues, business leaders, and functional partners

· Strong background and proven ability to transform business operations across multiple companies into one company; Vocal in challenging business-as-usual operating models and

recommending innovative improvements and best practices to drive efficiencies and synergies.

· Excellent analytical skills, communication, and presentation skills; Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates for all levels of the organization

· Excellent judgement and independent decision-making ability

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, as well as Smartsheet or other project management type software.

Responsibilities of the Desired Candidate

· Lead and support the workstreams within Operations and IT in the development and execution of tasks related to integrating the Operations and IT related activities of the acquired companies into Meriplex

· Project coordinator with the acquired companies’ leadership team on timing of tasks to be completed to integrate based on upcoming events

· Work and update the IMO team on status, issues, delays, and upcoming events that could impede the integration process

· Be the main point of contact between the IMO and the Operations and IT Integrations teams

· Lay out and update overall time-table charts for the Operation and IT integrations based on tasks to be completed and the number of hours to complete

· Create and maintain project plans within Smartsheet; regularly follow up on open items with specific teams in Operations and IT

· Maintain and determine resource requirements (the number of hours required) to complete the associated tasks in Smartsheet to determine if within budget and forecast future integration timelines based on completed historical data

· Review and estimate man-plan timelines withing the workstreams based on tasks that remain and number of integrations that are occurring

· Identify potential efficiencies and review potential middleware software to be utilized in performing integration related activities more efficiently

· Identify and account for accomplished synergies during the integrations; provide feedback and insight on potential synergies not previously identified

· Facilitate, and identify resource and system impacts for upcoming tasks, and collecting associated estimates if delayed or longer than expected to complete

· Review opens tasks in Smartsheet and maintain accountability of the schedule tasks per the associated timelines

· Challenge and prioritize deliverables based on resource availability, risk and uncontrollable events causing specific delays.

· Address escalations and issues immediately with Sr. Management providing potential solution opportunities

· Lead and coordinate bi-weekly / weekly updates with the Leadership team

· Produce high level summaries, presentations, and updates for senior management and stakeholders within the Operations and IT Teams

· Function as a key advisor to the senior stakeholders on the project to achieve goals and overcome obstacles

· Provide feedback to internal resources during the estimation of timelines, resources, and scope to set accurate stakeholder expectations

· Be able to work independently, but keep management informed of progress / issues

· Lead/participate in meetings at the operational and project level with management to discuss strategy on future integrations

Authority of the Desired Candidate

The Project Manager of Operations and IT Integration has the authority to:

· Approve costs/time within budget restrictions

· Instruct and guide project personnel

· Sign for invoices, expenses and other claims within the projects approved budget and in accordance with Meriplex policies, rules, and guidelines.


Experience of the Desired Candidate

· Fully competent in understanding and applying project management principles and methodologies.

· Previous experience managing projects that deliver value to stakeholders.

· Resource planning, scheduling, and tracking skills

· Ability to function and manage in a matrix environment

· Presented updates to Senior Leadership

· Have motivated and influenced people on key decisions

· Has provided Excellent client management/resolution skills

· Has been a team player/collaborator

· Has worked with minimum supervision


Work Schedule/Travel

Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the ability to have a flexible schedule due to work volume. Ability to travel up to 15% may be required based on project requirements and location which might be outside of the Houston metro area.
