IT Project Manager

Job Description

As an IT Project Manager at SmartRent, you will be responsible for leading small and medium sized IT projects and deployments, across multiple business segments within the company. You’ll work closely with key internal stakeholders to define, establish, and manage system development projects that solve our most pressing operational business challenges. In this role, you’ll report to our Director of Technology Operations and work alongside a smaller TechOps department of 5-7 team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of small and medium IT projects and software deployments.
• Work with business stakeholders to gather system development requests.
• Work with Tier 1 support teams to convert escalated tickets to system development requests.
• Collaborate with business and IT leaders to define the vision, scope and delivery timelines for technical deliverables.
• Participate in the definition of application scope and objectives through research and fact finding.
• Support the work estimation process in support of development activities.
• Oversee change management activities and the software development lifecycle.
• Provide weekly, monthly status updates and reporting to business and IT leaders.
• Provide release notes to general users, business and IT leaders.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT Project Management or a similar role within an IT department
• 3+ years of experience in managing IT projects to completion.
• Experience delivering and/or managing Business Applications projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with various teams concurrently
• Experience with Project Management tools - we use Jira and Confluence
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization and time management skills with high attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industry standard project management and service delivery methodologies for IT (SDLC, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Lean/Six Sigma)
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
• Experience with ERP solutions (NetSuite)
• Experience with CRM solutions (Salesforce)
• PMP certification

NOTE: SmartRent has a hybrid work environment. This position will work out of our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters on a hybrid schedule.
