The Opportunity:

The IT Project Manager is a proactive leader who partners with technology, operations and program management teams to define, implement, track and deliver on IT Operations initiatives. A credible and impactful communicator, he/she operates with a "no surprise" approach and ensures open and honest communication in all aspects of their work. The primary focus of the work will be in the management of Technology Operations projects, system upgrades and technology initiatives.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with IT Operations team and stakeholders to successfully define, implement and deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Apply your project management expertise to define and maintain a clear view into timelines and progress
  • Provide timely and accurate updates on project health to a cross-functional audience.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders (Infrastructure teams, vendors and software development teams) to identify and synchronize project dependencies across multiple teams and navigate risks and change along the way.
  • Perform unbiased risk management by determining root causes, corrective actions, mitigation options and impacts, ultimately providing clear executive level summaries.
  • Resolve and escalate impediments.
  • Work closely with management to ensure resource allocation aligns with project needs
  • Organize and facilitate project retrospectives and track action items to resolution
  • Model and coach high performing team leadership behaviors

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of technology project management experience required, with at least 3 years managing Technology Operations projects (Azure implementations, SQL/system upgrades & data center operations)
  • Strong project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors and management, and ability to understand and explain technical issues
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during the life of the project
  • Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
  • Excellent resource planning and task scheduling skills
  • Strong follow-up and ability to adjust to change
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, and experience with Agile and SAFe preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with collaboration & project management tools such as ADO, Teams, Smartsheets, MS Project.
  • PMP preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
