General Summary

The IT Project Manager I works with the Information Technology team, corporate departments, and segments to support IT related projects and programs. The IT Project Manager I works under general direction of IT senior management and is responsible for planning, execution and finalization of projects according to deadlines and within budget.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop project plans and associated communications documents under supervision.
• Communicate project expectations, milestones and status to team members and stakeholders.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Assist in managing changes in project scope and devise contingency plans.
• Collaborate with functional and technical project members
• Support with PMO team to develop and maintain project management policies, procedures and best practices
• Performs other duties as required

Job Specifications

Knowledge

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems or related field.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification required
• Preferred 1-2 years of project management experience in IT.
• Preferred experience in project management software tools.
• Basic understanding of project management methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and abilities

• Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
• Basic proficiency in project management software tools.
• Ability to successfully interact and communicate with all organizational levels
• Ability to communicate clearly via video conference, phone and email with customers, vendors and co-workers
• Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for improvement to existing processes and utilize lessons learned post project completion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Working Conditions

Working environment is generally favorable. Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Some traveling is required.
