IT Project Manager

Are you an IT Project Manager who enjoys leading high-visibility projects for organizational success? If so, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We invite you to play a crucial role in integrating business processes, system requirements, and project executions. Your strategic leadership will drive the success of critical business system solutions, leading a team of four business analysts and key partners, driving an impactful outcome.

This role is based in our Rosemont, IL office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to three days a week, and reports to the Director of IT.

AS A TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER, YOU WILL:

• Lead global business system implementation projects by providing strategic direction.
• Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and estimates for tracking progress.
• Facilitate the implementation of critical systems worldwide, leading business group programs and collaborative discussions.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration and achieve successful project outcomes.
• Establish and uphold processes to meet project plans and client expectations throughout the program lifecycle, operating at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Implement program communication plans, ensuring effective leadership engagement and providing regular status updates.
• Conduct risk analysis and review progress against project landmarks and budgets, maintaining high-quality standards.
• Provide day-to-day direction to project resources, identify key collaborators, and guide project teams.

WHO YOU ARE:

You strategically handle conflicts by foreseeing issues, encouraging consensus, and ensuring everyone feels heard and valued. Comfortable when navigating ambiguity, you make informed decisions, handle risks, and demonstrate agility for effective operations amidst incomplete information. Using business insights, you align technical projects with broader organizational goals seamlessly. Navigating complex problems, you decipher detailed information to achieve successful project outcomes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Established capability in leading system implementation projects.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, project management, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and standard processes.
• Ability to travel internationally, up to 10% annually.
• Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

One or more of the following is preferred, but not required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience in leading ERP implementations (e.g., Oracle, SAP, JDE, Microsoft Dynamics, or other ERP systems).
• Previous work experience within a manufacturing or supply-chain-centered business model.
