Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the development life cycle leading multiple cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Setting project goals and coming up with plans to meet those goals
- Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports
- Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence
- Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage and Align teams according to the budget to stay on track for financials.
- Manage projects or components of projects with few dependencies, limited scope, low risk and effort, few integration points and short duration within a single team of resources.
- Identify & resolve discrepancies in planned costs versus actuals incurred.
- Responsible for developing and reviewing/validating details project plans and tracking financial information.
- Communicate status of project to leadership, project team and to more senior PMs on a project.
- Understands the need for Business Case/ROI and ensures its completion.
- Participates in change initiatives and workgroups.
- Communicate project status to project team, stakeholders, leadership, and PMs associated with other projects.
- Advise leadership, Project Team/Project Managers on tactical solutions to dealing with barriers within a project.
- Accountable for project delivery including meeting time, budget and quality standards and customer expectations.
- Facilitates project meetings.
- Creates and maintains relationships with stakeholders and team members in order to achieve mutual goals.
Required Experience
- 4+ years' experience in project analysis and/or project management
- Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
- Demonstrated success in leading cross disciplined team, effectively managing thought conflict resolution, competing priorities, identifying risks/issue impact to cost, deadline and scope.
- Proven success to communicate technical and project information clearly and articulately to technical and non-technical team members, business partners and senior leadership
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Understanding of and SDLC disciplines and project management fundamentals
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of labor, cost management and project tracking and management tools such as MS Project and MS Excel
- Ability to lead and facilitate project team status meetings to obtain schedule, issues, risk , and dependency updates.
- Ability to document meeting minutes, action items from project status meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP - Project Mgmt Professional
- Experience using Agile methodology
- Familiarity with provider network business operations and/or processes
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
