Ardent is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team.  

This is a Remote/hybrid role located in the Washington, D.C. Metro area.

Position Description:

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for providing expert consulting services while overseeing technical project execution activities for a Federal Government Agency.  The position requires strong experience in project management, and a strong working knowledge of IT Systems.  The IT PM will work in a fast paced, high visibility client environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks. 
• Manages teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations and acts as an embedded member of the team. 
• Maintains and manages the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
• Lead, manage, and contribute to high-level government meetings.
• Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items. 
• Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
• Experience in managing a diverse group of functional activities, subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel.
• Establishes and maintains technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organizes and delegates responsibilities to subordinates and oversees the successful completion of all assigned tasks.  

Requirements: 

• Active Top Secret Clearance 
• An understanding of best practices with respect to IT security, software development, systems implementation, and support.
• 5-10+ years' experience managing IT team with Federal background preferred.
• Experience managing teams (10-20+) and overall revenue of $5M+
• Experience managing Federal Government DevOps/DevSecOps contracts.
• Proactive problem solving, and the ability to work autonomously.
• Superb Verbal and Written Communications Skills and client facing experience.
• Attention to detail and must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Work with client decision makers on system designs within the confines of client-mandated policies and governance.
• General finance, project control and project management analysis, budgeting, general accounting, cost accounting, accounts receivable, operations administration and strategic planning.
• The successful Project Manager candidate must possess and apply expertise of multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. 
• The successful candidate must have the ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. 
• The successful candidate must be able to plan and lead major technology assignments. 
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. 
• The successful candidate will function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments and supervise others. 
• You must have a leader and tough skin mentality in order to successfully fulfill this role.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in an IT related field - Masters Degree ++
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
