COMPENSATION: $65K-$80K, based on experience
SUMMARY OF POSITION
An innovative Quality Assurance Analyst that will be successful working in a collaborative, high-energy agile environment when determining whether software products are functional, reliable, and meet the business user needs and expectations for a rapidly growing organization. A hands-on professional with strong technical aptitude and current manual and automated testing skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement testing plans for custom developed and commercial off the shelf software products
- Process product reviews and inform the development team of defects and errors
- Communicate quantitative and qualitative findings from test results to the development team
- Monitor efforts to resolve product issues and track progress
- Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
- Meeting with the software design team to discuss verification protocols
- Work closely with application developers to enable DevOps and CI/CD practices
- Ensure automation test runs are running on a smooth and reliable cadence
- Monitor/Audit Test Runs, with particular focus on failed runs; debugging findings, and ensuring bugs are captured completely and actionable to application developers
- Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas
- Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas
- Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, QA Automation Developers, Product Owners, and other cross-functional resources to define and deliver business impacting projects
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and business processes
- Successfully manage deliverables while balancing project timelines and unanticipated issues
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 4+ years' experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of QA databases and applications.
- Experience in or strong knowledge of an agile software development methodology
- Excellent analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter and able to perform tasks independently from start to finish
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball".
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "today not tomorrow" mentality.
- Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand, no matter how minute, by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for communicating with internal and external parties in a manner that is both articulate and professional.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

NOTE: All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
