  • Hours: 08:30 – 17:00, Mon - Fri

What does a day look like for you here?

Based at our Farnborough recovery centre, you will ensure the smooth recovery and continuity of IT services in the event of disruptions or disasters, a crucial role in maintaining business operations for our valued customers. You'll perform regular maintenance on both hardware and software, applying updates, patches, and managing hardware components to prevent issues before they occur. You’ll also regularly test disaster recovery plans and backup systems, including running simulations of disaster scenarios to confirm that recovery processes are effective.

To ensure a consistent service for our customers, you will also respond to IT incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement solutions to restore services quickly. Keeping detailed records of incidents and updating documentation related to recovery procedures and configurations is also critical. Teamwork will also be key in this role, so you’ll work closely with other IT teams, including network administrators, security specialists, and application developers, to ensure cohesive disaster recovery strategies.

Upon successful completion of the contract, you will have the opportunity to apply for open vacancies and be considered as an internal applicant with direct Daisy experience. So, what are we looking for?

Back to that ambition of ours. We want to be the UK’s go-to managed service provider. That’s where you come in. Ideally, you will have a degree in Computer Science or similar qualification. You should have a solid understanding of IT systems, backup and recovery processes, and be proficient with monitoring and diagnostic tools. Knowledge of security protocols, software and hardware management, and troubleshooting is also essential.

You should also have a key eye for detail, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. Good organisational abilities, adaptability, teamwork, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage stress will help you succeed in this role, ensuring you can effectively support the organisation’s IT recovery and business continuity efforts.

You should also have:

  • Degree in Computer Science (or similar)
  • Understanding of Intel/Windows Desktop Support.
  • Fundamental Understanding of Networks, Switches & Routers.
  • Basic Familiarity with Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Willingness to participate in Out-of-Hours call out rotations.
  • Valid UK Driving License.
