Risk and Compliance Analyst

The Role
Ryanair Labs is a state of-the-art digital & IT innovation hub creating Europe’s Leading Travel Experience for customers. As an IT Risk and Compliance Analyst you will work on a team responsible for development and execution of the internal risk and compliance plan for Ryanair’s IT systems. You will work with Ryanair Labs’ management and development team identifying risks and compliance issues and overseeing remediation plans. This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals to work in a fast-paced MIS team.
Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Ryanair IT systems including IT risks and controls to better identify areas of need and opportunities to advise.
- Support the annual PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, GDPR compliance activities by ongoing testing and evaluating effectiveness of key control activities.
- Perform continuous assurance/controls efficacy validation.
- Periodically assess IT risks and internal control strengths and weaknesses.
- Manage issue creation and reporting of deviations based on monitoring and assurance activities.
- Work with different teams across IT and business to address issues, and regularly communicate with control owners and management to present findings, gain acceptance, and provide remediation advice.
- Advise IT and business stakeholders on control best practices within their processes to reduce risks and improve efficiency and financial profitability.
- Seamlessly liaise with internal and external auditors in connection with technology audit work and construct plan for all IT audit requirements.
- Maintain well documented standard operating policies/procedures/guidelines for continuous assurance activities.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRSIC, CISM) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience working in a Technology Risk, IT Audit, Information Security or related field.
- Strong understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, general IT controls, application controls and technology risks.
- Experience with implementing IT governance practices and controls for PCI, SOX, or GDPR.
- Experience working with and auditing cloud technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to “think-out-of-the-box”.
- Attention to detail, including ability to issue-spot, identify patterns, flag incongruencies.
- Demonstrate strong Communicating and Influencing skills.
