BASIC PURPOSE: The IT Scrum Master II role is to provide leadership, coaching, mentoring to multiple enterprise application development teams at Love's. The ideal candidate will coordinate the work of an Agile development team and oversee the software development lifecycle. Daily responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to: planning and facilitating Scrum activities, including sprint planning, daily stand up, demos, board reviews, and retrospectives. The Scrum Master will work to identify and resolve impediments that slow development or prevent the team from meeting established goals or milestones. This individual will apply strong communication skills, analytical and problem solving kills to handle complex issues and problems and only escalates the most complex issues to higher-level staff. This individual will also possess comprehensive knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or project management and serve as the subject matter expert on those process areas.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Function as Scrum Master for multiple enterprise application development teams.
• Serve as mentor, coach, teacher and facilitator to develop self-organizing, high-performing teams.
• Work to remove impediments and keep the team moving forward without interruption or distraction.
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies-sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demos, retrospectives and feature planning as applicable.
• Work with the Product Owner(s) where necessary to help organize product backlogs, clarify User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, and understand technical implications and dependencies.
• Capture business requests and requirements in a product backlog. With Scrum Team, translate business goals and requirements to Epics, Features, and User Stories. Author additional requirements artifacts and project documentation as needed.
• Create and maintain Sprint burndowns, key metrics, and dashboard reporting.
• Prepare and conduct presentations of project status/progress reports and product demos to various audiences, focusing on appropriate content for the audience.
• Learn the technologies, strategies, and analytic techniques used at Love's.
• Achieve an understanding of business process flows and system data flows.
• Apply standard project management methodologies to deliver projects on time, on budget, and with high quality.
• Build and maintain a track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts to earn their trust, confidence, and respect.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature functional designs, functional requirements, limitations, and implementations of new initiatives.
• Continuously broadens capabilities to effectively apply Project Management/Agile techniques and improve coaching and mentoring skills.
• Demonstrates continuous improvement and encourages other team members to do the same.
• Identify the best project management approach to use depending on the team and nature of the project and effectively execute as project manager.
• Manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently across teams, technologies, and business areas.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifications preferred
• Experience:
  • 2+ years experience as a ScrumMaster on established Agile Scrum teams
  • 5+ years of professional experience in an application development team
  • Familiarity with software development tools (Azure DevOps/VSTS, JIRA, etc.)
  • Experience working in CRM tools (Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Knowledge of energy and commodities industry, specifically in the areas or trading, retail, and logistics a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodology
  • Agile methodology experience including Scrum
  • Project management expertise, leading large-scale, complex, high-value projects
  • Familiarity working in and configuring project management tools (Azure DevOps/VSTS, MS Project, JIRA, etc.)

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping
