IT Security Engineer

What skills do I need? 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT security, information security, or a related field.
• Experience with security frameworks, certifications and audits, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO , SOC, 27001/2, NIST, OWASP).
• Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security incident response.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM solutions.
• Experience working in regulated industries (ADEF, Life Sciences)
• Understanding of Information Security best practices and laws (particularly in US and EMEA)
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build an maintain an ongoing security roadmap
• Identify and assess security risks to our organization's information systems, network, and data.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard company information assets and comply with industry regulations.
• Monitor and analyze security alerts and logs to identify and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to implement security controls and best practices.
• Review and evaluate security solutions, tools, and technologies to ensure they meet the organization's security requirements.
• Participate in security incident response activities and provide technical expertise to resolve incidents.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats to ensure our security posture is current and effective.
• Prepare and present reports on security risks, incidents, and progress towards security goals to IT leadership.
