Job Description

Join the New Braunfels, TX team for the exciting journey of a new facility start-up (Greenfield). The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving. Join the Continental team that manufactures products that save lives everyday!

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Direct support of the site's local area network (LAN) to include:

-Router, switch, firewall etc. basic configuration and support activities (primarily Cisco devices)

-General network design and capacity management

-Troubleshooting, problem management and crisis resolution

-Environment monitoring, SLA and KPI monitoring

-Equipment life-cycle oversight and management

-Complete cable plant oversight

-Remote device support and oversight• Direct support of site's voice services within a MS Teams based voice structure and environment• Site network liaison with central Continental network standards and structure to include:

-Engage and work with central teams to ensure solution synchronization

-Local support of central equipment, maintenance activities and deployments

-All aspects of network, compute, and communication security for the site

Security:• Site Point-of-Contact (poc) and manager for all site security activities• Directly support physical security for site• Directly support cyber & compute security the site • Lead, monitor, manage and report on all corporate and central security incentives, efforts, and programs• Works closely with EHS and facilities management teams to ensure consistency for crisis and emergency activities, access control and other overlapping functions.

General:• Project Management

-Project lead and member role(s)

-Resource, scheduling, and activity planning

-Reporting, task tracking and general oversight• Communication (written and verbal) to both internal and external audiences as required• 24/7 Support and on-call• Support the security components of both intermetal and external industrial and cyber audits required for the facility to meet customer certification and manufacturing levels.

• Additional Functions: (Individual tasks, duties, and responsibilities of the position of lesser importance or frequency)• Team mentoring around security awareness and development of security programs to further increase the site's overall awareness with respect to security

Job Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant degree • 2+ years of networking and/or IT security experience • Network Experience:

-Cisco routers, Cisco switches, IPS(s), firewalls and voice endpoints

-Cabling installation, planning, design and auditing activities

-Basic LAN design, capacity planning and life-cycle management

-Extensive experience with complex network troubleshooting and problem-solving

• Security Experience:

-Experience within a structured security and sensitive information environment

-Perform security processes, audits and evaluations, and investigation activities

-Experience with security camera solutions, video recording, and security data management

• General Experience:

-Project management: Planning, Design, Execution, Closure

-General budgetary activities to include planning, forecasting, and tracking

-Strong written and verbal communication skills

-Process development, documentation, and life-cycle management

-Liaison and interaction with external services and organizations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 28 pounds unassisted. Must be able to sit and/or stand for periods up to 10+ hours. Must be able to Push, Pull Reach, Twist, Turn, Stoop, Walk, Stand for 10+ hours

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Solid understanding of basic L2 and L3 protocols and technology (STP, OSPF, VSS, VRRF and VPC)

-General familiarity with discrete servers, VM type enclosures and mid-range server appliances

-Firewall design, configuration, and oversight

-Disaster Recover and Crisis Management events and planning• Experience working within IT in a manufacturing environment• Master's Degree
