Information Technology at Valon

We are building a world-class platform to champion homeowners, and the Information Technology department is vital to maintaining our teams’ technologies. The IT department is responsible for the architecture, hardware, software, and networking of all internal computers at Valon. You’ll join a small, tight-knit group of IT professionals and work cross-functionally with different departments to empower all employees—across two offices and multiple remote workspaces—as we work to improve the process of homeownership.

About the Role

As the first IT Senior Analyst in our New York headquarters, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our engineering team’s continued success. You’ll partner with a variety of high-level stakeholders, including our CTO, CTSO, and our Head of People, to maintain our fast-paced daily office operations. You will be responsible for responding to technical support queries in a prompt and accurate manner, including requests for hardware repair, equipment relocation, and system access. You’ll also iterate upon and ultimately improve Valon’s preexisting IT processes and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise, leadership, and project coordination services to support and maintain continuity of the organization's computer systems and networks, including office Wi-Fi, Internet connectivity, VPNs, and beyond.
• Install and configure Mac laptops, software, cloud services, systems, networks, mfa devices, printers, and scanners.
• Manage the on/offboarding of users and the provisioning and de-provisioning of devices.
• Manage and restock inventory as needed while enabling effective self-service options for our technical employees in NY.
• Set up and roll out software updates and other laptop security services and policies.
• Set up SSO (Single Sign On) with third-party software for increased security and convenience.
• Interact with third-party vendors to manage our IT infrastructure.
• Create effective user-facing communications and guidance.
• Manage the implementation of changes and projects.
• Operate independently with a high degree of professionalism while also being a member of a close-knit team.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of experience in desktop and mobile administration, Google Workplace administration, service management, identity and access management, network administration, and business system administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Refined attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to navigate ambiguity
