IT Senior CloudOps Engineer

Due to its success and excellent service, AiM is rapidly growing, and its Information Technology (IT) Division now seeks a Senior IT CloudOps Engineer that will join the Cloud Operations within our IT team. As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will apply the principles of DevSecOps to create a bridge between development and traditional IT Operations. Essential Job Functions:

1. Be the advocate to guide development teams to build reliable and resilient service.
2. Support and provide guidance to the company's software engineering processes, support and operate our Cloud Platforms.
3. Act as a lead and conduct all pertaining to IT Operations Management
   • Monitoring/Logs, Discovery, Administration, Performance Management
   • Servers & Workstations
   • Cloud Infrastructure / Multi-Cloud / Hybrid & On-Prem (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
   • Networking, Firewalls, VPN
   • Disaster Recovery, Capacity Planning, Business Continuity
   • Technical Support / Troubleshooting
   • IT Automation (Scripting, Coding, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD)
   • Cost Efficiencies
   • Custom and Standard DevOps/DORA & IT-OPs Metrics
   • VOIP / PBX / UCaaS
4. Conduct IT Asset Management
   • MDM, Patching, Maintenance
5. Act as Lead in IT Service Management
   • Ticketing System, Knowledge Base Articles
6. Conduct Security management/measures
   • SIEM, Endpoint mgmt & protection, EDR, XDR, Threat Monitoring, Incident Management.
   • Compliance & Audit (CIS, SOC2), Threat hunting, Penetration Testing, Red/Blue Team, Architecture & Design Reviews.
7. Act as lead for Vendor Management
8. Create, maintain, and review SOP's / Policies / Procedures
9. Act as a thought leader on the future technologies used within environment management, automation, monitoring, and self-healing
10. Participate in maintenance, upgrades, support, and deployments (off hours, on-call)
11. Regular and consistent attendance and availability
12. Other duties, or special projects may be assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides basic work direction and support to small groups of usually skilled and semi-skilled employees

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Job Knowledge and Skill:

Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize day-to-day responsibilities. Detail oriented, highly focused and very organized.

• 7-10+ years of relevant work experience within the DevSecOps background
• Minimum of 4 years Information Security background
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
• Proficient in AWS and obtains active/current AWS Certification
• Proficient in DevSecOps (preference for tools and services such as Jenkins, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Elastic Beanstalk, and/or New Relic).
• Proficient in Security (preference for Certification)

Experience:

• 7-10+ years of relevant work experience within the DevSecOps background
• Senior level experience

Education, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience

Computer Skills:

In addition toabove; Working knowledge of power point, word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, ability to adapt to new technology as it becomes available.

Communication Skills:

Ability to excel in a team environment required. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills required with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to source, disseminate and properly apply secondary research

Travel:

Light to frequent overnight travel.
