IT Software/Platform Developer

SUMMARY

The Arete IR - IT Software/Platform Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software development solutions supporting Arete’s Customer Life Cycle Management Platforms. A Systems Engineer is knowledgeable in systems development life cycle practices and will be a key resource supporting the design, development, and maintenance of these platforms. The position requires proven experience configuring and administering cloud-based platforms. The position will also work closely with team members as a point of escalation to ensure we provide customers with a high-quality support experience.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the timely coordination and tracking of multiple work streams across multiple engagements.
• Assist in the creation of architectural specifications ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and or SaaS platforms.
• Participate in the collection and documentation of user requirements, development of user stories and estimates for software, strategic platform, and/or COTS.
• Participate in the technical design, development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. 
• Responsible for front or back-end development with an understanding of both.
• Participate in peer reviews of solution designs, related code and system configurations.
• Participate in the investigation and resolution of production management incidents problems and service requests.
• Supports production applications and platforms in partnership with SaaS providers.
• Identifies innovative solutions for technical challenges.
• Creates and maintains required system support and maintenance documentation.
• Provide reactive after-hours support when necessary.
• Engage in regular career and job responsibility-relevant training.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and developments related to the IT industry.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 2 to 4 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in VueJS/Angular JS/React JS and frontend development.
• Experience with .NET Core and backend development.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent understanding of current computer systems, security, and infrastructure.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Onsite in Hyderabad 3-4 days per week required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Demonstrate a move-fast mindset as business circumstances change, by quickly orchestrating changes and actively steering the process to a positive outcome.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with Arete salary and benefit policy.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
