Position Title: IT Solutions Architect

Purpose:

The IT Solution Architect provides support and assistance in the design, documentation and implementation of enterprise IT infrastructure architecture. This position will work closely with internal and external strategic partners and our internal technology teams to educate, listen, collaborate, design, optimize and consult on IT infrastructure architecture to support current and future technology requirements. The role works with teams to define, design and document strategies and innovative solutions to meet or exceed business objectives and challenges.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for conducting evaluations of current and proposed technology platforms with an emphasis on the design, performance, scale, security and functionality and making recommendations in alignment with current and future infrastructure design
• Responsible for creating, enhancing and maintaining procedures, job aids and architectural standards for enterprise technologies
• Responsible for creating and maintaining the IT infrastructure graphics portfolio including but not limited to architecture diagrams, process flow diagrams, system configuration charts, system integration mapping and data mapping documents
• Responsible for identifying and evaluating business and technology risk aligned with current state technology systems and IT architecture relative to strategic architectural needs
• Establishes and maintains cloud adoption and migration standards as part of enterprise architecture
• In collaboration with the Enterprise Infrastructure Manager, contributes to the design of the systems architecture in support of the corporate strategic plan
• Supports enterprise IT Security policies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all computer systems and data
• Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior Experience: 10+ years of experience working in the IT Architecture, Systems and/or Network engineering field working with Microsoft operating systems, system security experience and a strong knowledge of on-premise and Cloud-based system delivery.

• Associate Degree
• Prior Experience: 6+ years of experience working in the IT Architecture, Systems and/or Network engineering field working with Microsoft operating systems, system security experience and a strong knowledge of on-premise and Cloud-based system delivery.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior Experience: 4+ years of experience working in the IT Architecture, Systems and/or Network engineering field working with Microsoft operating systems, system security experience and a strong knowledge of on-premise and Cloud-based system delivery.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar
• Prior Experience: 6+ plus years of IT architecture design and development including cloud migration experience.

Preferred (Certifications):

• ITIL certifications
• PMP certification
• Certifications in Azure Solutions, AWS Solutions, or Equivalent
• IAT II/Security+ Certification

• Ability to work with minimal guidance and across varying levels of technical competency
• Ability to work with all levels of staff and management and present information in an effective concise manner to employees with diverse skill sets.

• Strong understanding of IaaS, SaaS & PaaS solutions
• Knowledge of Technology Enterprise architectures that include multiple hardware and software environments including complex heterogeneous systems; Computer and Network system design
• May require working nights and weekends in support of project deliverables

Physical Requirements:

• Able to travel occasionally across the company footprint
• Extensive computer usage is required
• Basic office environment: ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, use stairs, reach, pull and lift objects
