IT Specialist
Join our dynamic team at DGS, a cutting-edge data solutions company, for wireless networks, where innovation meets excellence in the realm of Radio Frequency (RF) awareness and environmental monitoring technologies. We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of IT Technician to play a key role at DGS, with technical responsibilities for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of information technology systems.

Position Overview:

  • Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new technology to meet corporate and business objectives and to improve service through productivity gains or expense reductions.
  • Responsible for contributing to and adhering to all corporate policies and standards during the planning and implementation of projects.
  • Troubleshoot system failure, circuit failures, and configurations issues in any company environment.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot and support Cisco Meraki routers, firewalls, and switches (servers, load balancers, storage arrays, network attached storage, network equipment, and related peripherals will be managed by system engineering).
  • Knowledge of network protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
  • Manage vendor and/or product provisioning, procurement, and delivery of data services hardware and software.
  • Manage vendor and/or product provisioning, procurement, and delivery of LAN and WAN hardware.
  • Acts as a resource for infrastructure projects for voice/data network design, development, and implementation.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on business criticalities and also be flexible to work on ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Interact with vendors to ensure adequate services, support, and maintenance.
  • Specialized knowledge in the following systems or hardware is a plus: MicroTik, Winbox, Cisco Meraki, Dell servers and storage devices and endpoints, and Deepwave.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience with network technologies in a fast paced and complex environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with end-users at all levels of the organization.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced.

- One or more of the following relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), AWS or Microsoft Azure certifications, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred.
