Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Execute and continually improve Neogen's development life cycle
  • Work with Management and Leadership to assess velocity and capacity
  • Set project schedules, including milestones, and projected delivery timelines
  • Coordinate developer assignment relative to project priority
  • Reporting of project status for stakeholders and leadership
  • Reviews requests with QA and BA for viability and opportunity to combine
  • Meets individual and departmental goals and objectives.
  • Supports ISO procedures including development, documentation, and execution.
  • Working with stake-holders routinely update needs assessment and evaluate systems relative to identified needs, improve efficiency and accuracy within operational and business practices, and propose new development projects that support cost reductions and greater efficiencies.
  • Prepares documentation (design documents, data flows, business flows, use cases or user stories).
  • Work closely with Business Analyst and Quality Assurance within the development process
  • Work closely with Operations and New Product Project Managers

Skills:

  • Communication Skills - Ability to clearly communicate details like requirements, requested changes and testing results.
  • Analytical Skills - Able to take business needs and properly interpret/translate into application and operational requirements. Also able to analyze data, document change requests, and obtain user input through surveys.
  • Organization and ability to balance multiple projects across various development teams
  • Ability to handle frequent and random changes
  • This individual should have experience with various software packages including or similar to:

    • Document Management: SharePoint, Q-Pulse
    • Ticketing: Azure DevOps, Workfront, Jira, Zendesk
    • Microsoft Office: Visio, OneNote, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Project Management Skills - Ability to document a project plan, keep to deadline dates, communicate issues and risks, monitor and report progress of a given project, track deliverables, and adjust plans based on needs and later discoveries
