IT Specialist II
Job Description
Introduction:
The IT Specialist II (Procurement) supports both TGCS and TABS IT Departments in all purchasing-related functions including:
- Global hardware, software and services procurement
- Asset (laptop/desktop) procurement
- Software maintenance and support renewals
- Purchase Requisition creation and PO management
- Invoice reconciliation and tracking
- Software license tracking and allocations
- Vendor management
Responsibilities:
- Working directly with vendors for quotes, order statuses, invoicing, payments, etc
- Tracking purchases in Excel on multiple levels (CAP or EXP expenditure type, HW, SW, Services, PO #, etc.)
- Creating purchase requisitions in Oracle and managing POs through closure
- Liaison with AP regarding vendor invoice payments
- Initiate monthly accruals in Oracle
- Liaison with business requestors throughout the entire IT purchasing process
- Software deployment and tracking
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years procuring IT equipment and working with IT vendors (Dell, IBM, Cisco, etc.)
- Strong comprehension of IT Asset Management (3 year minimum)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a very demanding environment (5 year minimum)
- Very strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced level of Excel skills (Pivot tables a must)
- Previous experience with e-procurement systems e.g. Oracle EBS/iProcurement, SAP, SciQuest, etc.
