Job Description

As an IT Summer Associate at Apex, you'll dive into the world of technology and renewable energy. You won’t just be working on IT tasks; you'll be part of a vibrant team that loves to geek out on all things tech! We believe in hands-on experience, so you'll be actively involved in projects that make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

• Immerse yourself in various aspects of IT and helpdesk services – learn by doing!
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; enhance your communication skills in a professional setting.
• Play a role in system management, maintenance, and the occasional IT wizardry.
• Get hands-on with PC hardware and software installations.
• Unravel mysteries in network, software, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Participate in server maintenance and upgrades.
• Help craft and refine user and technical documentation.
• Innovate and contribute to our intranet – make your mark!
• Be the IT hero resolving tech issues for end users.
• Support our cybersecurity upgrades and be a part of our digital defense.
• Engage in special projects with the IT team – your ideas matter!

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a degree in a relevant field, or have equivalent work experience. All geeks welcome!
• Analytical mind with a knack for solving puzzles.
• Detail-oriented with a dash of perfectionism.
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments.
• Strong communicator – let's talk tech with the team and everyone else
• Ready to start in May? That's a plus!

• The summer associate program will run from June 3 through August 9 but we can be flexible with the start and end dates
• Hours: Full Time 
• Type: Non-Exempt
• Paid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/Hour
• Office Location: Our Charlottesville, VA headquarters or Remote
