Position Specific Description

We are primarily a Microsoft shop, and utilize technologies in that ecosystem to solve business problems. Most applications within the company are web-based data driven applications that utilize .NET, SQL Server, Web APIs, and front end frameworks. Software Analyst Interns will be working in an agile environment and would be given opportunities to work high velocity projects team in an area that fits their skills and where we have a need.

As part of that team, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a highly collaborative team that works in hand in hand with our retail energy business. Working to develop software solutions that's intended to drive increased operational efficiency for the company, by developing services that are strategic to our business and have multiple touch points with our end customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Developing mainly backend software solutions using .NET / SQL
• Strong SQL experience
• .NET, C#, C++, Java, HTML, Web development experience a plus
• Some experience writing and troubleshooting T-SQL, relational databases
• Experience using Microsoft data stack (SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, Power BI, and SSRS) preferred
• UI Front-End development in Javascript: Knowledge of Javascript fundamentals is essential, but experience with React.js, Node.js, Redux.js and Typescript can put you ahead
• Working closely with technical staff, and management to ensure timely product releases and delivery.
• Agile and Scrum Framework
• Passion for process improvement and creating great data solutions
• Knowledge of good database and query design
• Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and follow through on projects

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists department with assigned projects
• Completes challenging projects and assignments
• Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
• Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school grad / GED
• Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
• Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
