Position Specific Description

Our network team's mission is to develop an efficient network environment that scales to the needs of the business.

Join our network team as a 2023 summer intern supporting our engineering and operational teams. In this role, the candidate will lead and drive change in different areas of network engineering, especially on processes standardization and performance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day network engineering and operations, by performing analysis and troubleshooting.
• Maintain our management and inventory systems.
• Perform routine adds, moves, and changes for network ports and VLANs.
• Enter and manage carrier tickets for service outages.
• Analyze network traffic and utilization and report findings to direct supervisors.
• Assist with device network policy management with Cisco ISE.
• Create and coordinate presentations on projects and updates
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude toward engagement and brainstorm solutions to improve user experience
• Present final project to leadership at the end of the internship

Skills

• Analytical Problem-Solving capabilities
• Oral and written communication proficiency
• Gathering, interpreting, and recording research and data
• Experience in networking technologies including Cisco preferred.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, routing and switching.
• Technical skills: Microsoft 365 technologies - SharePoint, Forms and Teams

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Assists department with assigned projects
• Completes challenging projects and assignments
• Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship
• Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school grad / GED
• Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program
• Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
