The Role

The IT Support Analyst will be the front line of support for all Metropolis Technologies employees. They will be required to support all hardware, software, and peripheral equipment related to the IT department. They will also be managing the ticking system by answering all tickets when they come in and escalating issues when appropriate. To be successful in this role, the IT Support Analyst must have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research solutions before escalation, and possess excellent communication and customer service skills.  

 The IT Support Analyst will also be responsible for documentation, asset management, account creation/management, new hire on-boarding, and supporting any needs from other members of the IT department. This is a critical role in the IT Department and as such the candidate must be able to support all members of the Metropolis team with patience and respect.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user requests for technical assistance, resolving issues and providing solutions in a timely manner. 
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connections. 
  • Identify and escalate complex issues to senior technical staff or vendors, as required. 
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updating software and performing backups. 
  • Create and maintain user accounts and permissions. 
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets. 
  • Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and training materials. 
  • Provide user training and support for standard office applications and software. 
  • Troubleshoot and support all Audio Visual equipment and software. 
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends. 

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support or related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems. 
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 and other standard office applications. 
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
  • Industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, are a plus. 

Candidate must be based in Nashville or willing to relocate to Nashville.
