NinjaTrader’s IT Support Associate’s primary focus will be in the areas of computer operations, computer repair, wire and cable installation, user and desktop support (hardware and software), helpdesk, and data management. The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision to perform a variety of complex IT Support duties, including monitoring, operating, assisting, and training others in the operation of computer hardware, software, and peripherals. In addition, the IT Support Associate will utilize computer equipment, software, and diagnostic tools to perform a broad range of customer assistance, production job processing, equipment maintenance and repair and computer operations assignments.
The ideal candidate will exercise judgment and creativity in selecting and applying procedures correctly and will determine when to escalate problems to the supervisor or the next level of support.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical support in the use of personal computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology
- Operate a multi- platform, complex computer environment
- Monitor the production scheduling, execution, and successful completion of production jobs
- Set up and configure desktop computers, peripherals and user accounts assigning security level
- Install software and repair hardware and peripherals, such as but not limited, MS Office and associated application, Antivirus, Adobe applications, etc.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures and/or escalates to other team members as appropriate
- Maintains, updates or creates systems, databases and web pages using front-end user enhanced web tools within prescribed guidelines
- Designs and produces moderately complex reports
- Research and recommend system equipment upgrades and manage equipment inventory
- Troubleshoot, repair and provide maintenance for computer equipment (e.g. microcomputers, disk drives, and laser printers) test personal computers on a network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems and escalate corrective procedures to other technical resources, as appropriate
- Develop and test user documentation
- Work with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems
Job Requirements:
- Basic Knowledge of a variety of hardware, software, programming languages, and operation systems
- Basic knowledge of network protocols
- Training in the areas of Data processing and computer operations
- Experience in a multi-operation system or production control environment preferred
Additional Desired Experience:
- 3-5 years of related experience providing customer service in a technological environment
- College degree in Computer Science or Information Technology strongly preferred
- macOS experience
