Summary of Role/Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and personable IT Support Specialist to join our team and become the face of IT for our corporate office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, Active Directory and Azure administration, Jira administration, and exceptional interpersonal skills. As the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues and inquiries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our corporate office's technology infrastructure and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional desktop support:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to IT support tickets and walk-ins from corporate office staff.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with external vendor collaboration for hardware repairs or replacements when necessary.

2. Administer Active Directory and Azure environments:

  • Manage user accounts, security groups, distribution groups and permissions in Active Directory.
  • Perform user provisioning, deprovisioning, and password resets.
  • Monitor and maintain Active Directory and Azure infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
  • Collaborate with the Security team to implement and enforce security best practices.

3. Oversee Jira administration:

  • Configure and customize Jira workflows, projects, and permission schemes to align with business requirements.
  • Create and manage Jira dashboards, reports, and filters.
  • Provide user support and training on Jira usage and best practices.
  • Collaborate with development and project management teams to optimize Jira workflows and enhance productivity.

4. Deliver excellent customer service:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with corporate office staff, providing prompt and effective solutions to their IT needs.
  • Communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical individuals.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on technology tools and applications.
  • Actively seek feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to enhance the IT support experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in desktop support, Active Directory, and Azure administration, and Jira administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, and troubleshooting network connectivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest IT trends and technologies.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $82,000-$120,000
