IT Support Engineer

Maven is looking for an outstanding IT Support Engineer to join our Technology team in Chicago. Our Infrastructure team is a set of broad-minded technologists with diverse backgrounds, who focus on continuously improving the end-to-end resiliency, scalability, visibility, usability, and supportability of Maven's technology systems. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT MAVEN:

The IT Support Engineer at Maven has full-stack responsibility for Windows desktop and server environments, virtualization, communication and collaboration systems, telephony, and more. 

You will:

• Be the first point of contact for IT support, handling incoming requests via email, tickets, chat and in-person
• Plan and execute desk setups, desk moves, cabling and other IT changes required in the Sydney office
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows, office applications, browsers, and trading applications
• Build, upgrade, diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, peripherals and other hardware
• Support users based both within the office and also remote WFH users
• Maintain, update and manage IT documentation, inventory, and purchasing processes
• Assist with datacentre and server-level tasks with guidance from other team members
• Work as part of an integrated APAC IT Ops team on projects and continuous improvement of the environment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Strong technical ability around common Windows issues, especially around networking and system performance
• Understanding of computing concepts and how they interact in a complex IT environment
• A clear troubleshooting mindset and ability to investigate new or unfamiliar issues
• Experience handling multiple concurrent tasks including prioritisation and communication with stakeholders
• Experience in using and supporting some or all of the following:
  - Office 365, Google Worskpace / GSuite
  - Active Directory and Group Policy
  - WSUS, SCCM, PDQ Deploy or other system management products
  - Zoom, Teams or other collaboration products
