IT Support Engineer

Job Overview
The IT support team is responsible for supporting, securing, and maintaining the IT infrastructures used by Beacon Platform Inc. We develop a cloud-based Platform-as-a-Service, which services its clients with an expanding global footprint. Supporting the company's internal IT infrastructure is key to Beacon’s success and scalability. You will work to support our employees across multiple global office locations. IT Support will oversee basic office IT infrastructure, provide IT services and IT assets management; manage regional and global projects. You will need to be able to collaborate with different functions including HR, finance, legal, sales, project management and support the needs of our developers and infrastructure teams.
What You'll Do
- Self-starter who is passionate about technology.
- Strategically plan long-term projects and initiatives.
- Work with departmental stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Research new technologies to implement within the modern IT environment to improve the deployment/provisioning processesÂ
- A keen eye for automation and improving efficiency.
- Keep current with the latest technologies.
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of laptops (windows, Mac), endpoint operating systems, client hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's key users, department heads, and end-users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Accountability for the work they undertake and articulate their thoughts
- Comfortable with fast-pasted and dynamic environments
- Able to take on ideas and feedback from other technical experts as well as the business and translate them into deliverables.
- Takes ownership of work assigned and has exceptional attention to detail
Candidate may be required to complete any other reasonable duties in order to achieve business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of work experience in IT support
- Strong problem solverÂ
- University degree in computer science or equivalent experience in IT
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and ITIL methodology
- Experience in using coding/scripting to automate/reduce the time taken to complete manual tasks
- Knowledge of IT Security and Networking
- Experience supporting a mixed OS (Mac/Windows/Linux) office networkÂ
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Experience supporting CISCO Meraki Networking equipmentÂ
- Experience setting up and maintaining Cloud-based Active DirectoryÂ
- Experience with SOC2
- Experience building a zero-trust network
- Experience with Excel
- A relevant Information Technology qualification such as Microsoft Certifications or AWS Certifications would beneficial.
Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
