Job Description

This position is responsible for the technical support at all Vericast locations; analyzes and resolves faults, whether it is a major system crash or a forgotten password while undertaking routine preventative measures and deploying new hardware to users. 

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Support Engineer I has responsibility for Windows and MAC support including patch management and vulnerability management, along with system and hardware refreshes. 20%
  • The Support Engineer I work in ServiceNow working with MAC and Windows and many applications that support the business. 35%
  • This position is required to provide on-call support along with upgrade deployments that maybe done on nights and weekends. 5%
  • The Support Engineer will provide training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence while working closely with other departments/organizations and collaborating with other IT staff. 10%
  • The Support Engineer I will need to be able to identify process improvement needs and communicate these needs with leadership. 10%
  • The Support Engineer I will need to be able to adapt quickly to new processes and ever-changing technologies. 10%
  • This position will include Project based work that will be led by the manager or other managers and status will need to be provided in a timely manner. 10%
Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ Years with Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years’ work experience
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Preferred Experience with MDT (Microsoft Deployment) / JAMF/ BigFix / AD access management / M365 and Azure.
  • Demonstrated ability in creating technical documentation
  • General knowledge in multiple SDLC methodologies
  • Technically proficient in application/component or system; may act as internal consultant

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Availability to travel for project work and support
  • Professional support experience with current version of Windows and/or MacOS and hardware/peripherals
  • Experience with providing hands-on desktop support, including software installation and upgrade, hardware setup, file backups, and system configuration

Additional Information

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
