Job Description
The IT Support Specialist will be able to apply technology to address business needs and constraints, while assisting our team to achieve efficient and effective use of computing technology and maximize utilization of computer resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business needs and effectively match business needs to technology solutions to implement desired solutions. Candidate must possess a combination of IT technical expertise with an overriding concern and urgency for providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose system hardware, software, and operator problems
- Provide advanced troubleshooting on complicated IT issues
- Provide support for software applications
- Provide desk side training upon request for enterprise applications
- Provide hardware support, printer, and printing support
- Assist the IT Support team with the inventory management of desktops, laptops, printers, and other personal hardware assets
- Assist the IT Manager with software inventory where required
- Participate in company-wide IT projects and initiatives
- Work with Systems Administrators in performing IT infrastructure processes and procedures assigned to the team
- Request hardware and software through the requisition system as directed by managers/HR
- Provide office coordination and communication of technical support topics/issues of interest
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 1- 3 years' experience within IT
- Mac & Windows trouble shooting
- Ability to work well independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with end user troubleshooting
- An understanding of scripting languages a plus
- "Yes" Attitude: Experience in navigating high pressure encounters and last-minute changes
- Maintaining detailed notes, documentation, and updates to staff and End Users
