Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Classification: Full-time Exempt

Job Summary: The IT Support Specialist position allows one an opportunity to apply their skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in ISN’s Corporate IT infrastructure, products, and services. As a member of ISN’s Corporate IT Team, the IT Support Specialist will be involved with administering and maintaining Corporate IT infrastructure, including desktop support, network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain computer workstations and hardware
  • Assist with troubleshooting software issues for end users
  • Support of production printer setup and communication
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for A/V issues in conference rooms and shared spaces
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT supplies
  • Promote responsible usage and care of corporate equipment
  • Manage incoming requests and respond to employee reported issues via Corporate IT ticketing system
  • Research and develop new ways to improve existing processes
  • Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain Corporate IT knowledgebase content
  • Make recommendations to Corporate IT supervisor for process changes
  • Provide concise, accurate feedback on projects and processes when required by IT Supervisor
  • Execute projects provided by IT leadership with a minimal amount of rework
  • Coordinate with and support approved Corporate IT vendors
  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements by meeting QMS and ISMS objectives
  • All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, ISN Management or their Supervisor
  • Other tasks and projects as directed by supervisor

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A+ certification, MCSA, and MCSE certification preferred

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position
  • Understand the issues involved with administering and maintaining Corporate IT infrastructure, including desktop support, network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.
  • Advanced computer hardware knowledge troubleshooting and resolution
  • Working knowledge in troubleshooting network connectivity
  • Knowledge in virtual environment and communication
  • Basic working knowledge in telecom environment, voicemail, headsets, etc.
  • Basic understanding in corporate domain setup and communication
  • Desire to lead projects, as well as be able to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated personal initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid analytical and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
