IT Support Specialist

Raymond Westis currently looking for a sharpIT Support Specialist to join our winning team!
This position is responsible for handling Level I and II technical support and IT related purchase requests for the entire company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sets up and maintains various network and computer related hardware and software.
- Establishes and maintains network users, user environment, directories, and security.
- Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs.
- Remains abreast of changes in user and system software and hardware requirements.
- Monitors and administers the network, keeping system information up-to-date in various logs and spreadsheets.
- Troubleshoot minor networking problems.
- Update operating systems as required.
- Loads and updates software applications as required.
- Manages storage usage of the network, network printing, and network technical resources.
- Maintains a backup of all files, security, and rights.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
