IT Support Specialist
As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to internal staff members and help install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, both on-site and remotely. You will ensure prompt and accurate customer service and strive to maximize customer satisfaction for all technology needs.
This position requires strong communication and troubleshooting skills to ensure timely resolution to issues, technical requests and repairs. You must also effectively collaborate with other IT teams as needed. If you're computer-savvy and enjoy supporting others, we'd like to meet you.
This position is 100% onsite in our Dallas, TX office.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist internal staff members, including but not limited to desktop, laptop, productivity software, printers, scanners, phones, mobile devices, network, and applications.
- Resolve technical issues and solve problems quickly and effectively with little impact, employing proactive measures whenever possible.
- Document activities in a JIRA ticketing system; properly escalate appropriate issues; follow established procedures.
- Walk users through installing applications and computer peripherals.
- Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems and guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions.
- Maintain a professional, patient, and courteous demeanor under all circumstances.
- Build, deploy and maintain endpoint systems.
- Participate in researching and testing of new software or updated features.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in a Help Desk or Desktop Support Role
- Proven knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems, typical office applications, and peripherals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate to technical and non-technical users while providing great customer service.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work well in a team and stay organized individually.
- Excellent at troubleshooting and resolving issues with minimal or no assistance.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering first class service.
- Windows Certifications a plus
- A+, Net+ Certifications a plus
- Mac laptop troubleshooting experience (preferred)
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
