Rystad Energy is a leading Energy Knowledge House, providing business intelligence and advisory to the global energy industry. The technology team plays a key role in developing our products and supporting the organization. To serve our growing internal and external user base, we have established a dedicated first line IT Support Team in Europe. We now want to extend this team to US to provide better support to the increasing number of clients in this time zone.

We have a dedicated support team assisting clients in the introduction to and use of our products, and a sysadmin team for hardware related support. The role of the IT Support Team is to resolve and support the technical side of our products - resolve client's or colleagues' technical problems, fix if something is not working, monitoring of production processes, etc. Examples can be: user does not get access to subscribed products, colleague needs help to get their PowerBI dashboards working or perform well, monitor operational processes and bring in 2nd line if a data process line has failed or bugs must be fixed.

We are looking for a person with experience or interest in working as first-line support. The eagerness to troubleshoot and devotion to resolving cases, keep clients happy, and have good communication skills are key qualifications. Since the support tasks will be of a technical nature, candidates need a good technical mindset and be quick learners.

Desired requirements:

  • Experience in a Service Desk or Service Center environment, providing technical support to clients.
  • Strong knowledge of IT troubleshooting and resolving basic IT issues.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and DAX.
  • Demonstrated motivation and passion for working in an IT Service Desk role, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality support to our clients.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
