Job Description
As an IT Support Specialist at 1upHealth, you will assist in our efforts to keep our employees and their devices up to date and compliant with HIPAA regulations and our security policies while also being a tech champion in our Boston Seaport office. The IT Support Specialist will join the Business Operations team, reporting under the Senior IT Specialist. The specialist will be a vital component in following up on numerous IT and facilities related tasks.
**HYBRID POSITION This position will be in our Boston Seaport office 1-3 days per week
In this role, you’ll get to:
Run the internal IT Helpdesk by providing support to all company staff alongside the IT Help Desk Administrator.
Troubleshoot any end user IT hardware and software issues both in-person and remote
Order, configure, inventory, and update employee laptops
Manage user access to business applications (such as: Okta, Lastpass, Rippling, Google Workspace Admin)
Partner with HR/Compliance to provide employee on-boarding and off-boarding support
Monitor for endpoint security updates and rollout updates to employees
Participate in annual SOC2 compliance audits, including monthly log and access review
Advocate for security and confidentiality best practices while working alongside the compliance and security teams
Provide onsite support for staff weekly
Participate in onsite and remote onboarding
Work with the IT Help Desk Administrator to maintain office technology and plan upcoming upgrades
Help pilot and launch a new IT asset management system
We are looking for people who have:
Experience in an IT help desk or IT system administrator function
Administration of Google Workspace, Okta, AWS, MDM suites Atlassian
Experience supporting macOS, prior and current versions
Solid understanding of IT Help Desk function and best practices for ticket management
Passion to deliver great internal customer service
Knowledge of IT data security exploits and their solutions
Experience setting up and troubleshooting projectors and other office equipment
Experience working in a high-growth environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (a must)
Positive “can do” attitude
Ability to work in the office 1-3 days per week as required
Ability to lift 50 lbs of weight and comfortably install equipment
You may also have:
Experience with security/compliance standards such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2, GDPR
Scripting experience to automate processes
