Organization Overview

Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to those transitioning from or at risk of homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. Additionally, we implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veteran services, and health care sectors.

Position Summary

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring employees have the hardware and software they need to perform their jobs. This includes managing employee hardware providing high-functioning networking and shared office equipment, and responding to technical support requests via our helpdesk.

Location: Los Angeles, position is hybrid, with approx 70% of time in-office

Pay Range : 55-65000 yearly/ non-exempt

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly to ensure business operations run smoothly.
  • Respond to and manage user-created support tickets in a timely manner, employing a collaborative customer support attitude.
  • Maintain networking equipment uptime, including but not limited to Wi-Fi access points, printer/scanners, multimedia conferencing equipment, routing/switching and firewall devices, and other applicable equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on company devices, including phones, laptops, and tablets.
  • Actively ensure patches, software, and system updates are promptly applied to our network equipment and end-user systems.
  • Coordinate with other staff members to support onboarding and IT training for new employees
  • Maintain a robust information security posture focused on end-user devices and communication encryption, external security threat prevention and monitoring, and RBAC optimization in coordination with other business systems administrators across the enterprise.
  • Operationalize policies related to systems back-ups and data retention.
  • Coordinate with Sr. Network and System Administrator to support and manage IT infrastructure changes resulting from physical office moves, including occasional site visits to other Southern California office locations
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • High school diploma, associate degree or higher in computer science or information technology or relevant experience preferred
  • MCSE certification or equivalent is highly desirable
  • CCSP or CompTIA A+ certification a plus

  • Intermediate proficiency with basic computer software, specifically Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
