As the IT Support Specialist, you will constantly interact with client management and staff regarding computer technology services and equipment issues. Your attitude displayed is a representation of Prelude and our core values, and therefore effective communication skills are required to accurately interpret customer needs and take appropriate action. You must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a customer-focused environment, manage time and organize work effectively, and be proactive and enthusiastic.
Reporting to the Director of Desktop Support Services, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing remote and on-site technical assistance to our clients by responding to requests submitted to the IT Service Desk. You will provide technical support for personal computer hardware, application software, operating systems, and connectivity to networks. As the onsite resource, you will assist second level support as needed with installation and basic troubleshooting of infrastructure equipment and servers.
Requirements:
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Minimum of two years of experience in desktop support and configuration, or other relevant experience.
- Strong skills with the installation, setup, repair, and patching of computers and related peripherals.
- General knowledge of desktop architecture, mobile devices, and printers.
- General knowledge of network hardware (switches, routers, UPS) and network fundamentals (TCP/IP)
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite in a business environment.
- Frequent travel to client locations as required (including the occasional overnight, if necessary).
- Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
