Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking an Audio Visual System Designer with a TS/SCI security clearance and a Full Scope Polygraph to support a maritime program with a large aerospace and defense customer in Herndon, VA. This is an onsite position. As a member of this team, you play an integral part in developing audiovisual (AV) hardware and software solutions for proprietary programs for our client.

Key Duties:

• Troubleshoot customer issues, coordinate with our senior engineers and helpdesk as necessary, train users, and attend interagency meetings.
• Perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and upgrades, and patches of servers to support the AV architecture.
• Perform product and component management to ensure technical viability and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security, and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.
• Plan and coordinate complex AV software and hardware for enterprise release.
• Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives.
• Evaluate complex system production readiness and supportability.
• Perform complex system problem identification and resolution.
• Develop system design artifacts using CAD or Visio, signal flow diagrams, equipment elevations, BOM's, and configuration guides.
• Upload and troubleshoot control system files (ex. Creston, Extron, AMX, Thinklogical).
• Upload, modify, and troubleshoot audio Digital Signal Processor files (Biamp, QSC, etc.).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot large scale AV and USB systems (Creston, Extron, Thinklogical).

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph.
• 3 or more years of experience with the setup and support of large-scale Audiovisual (AV or A/V) systems.
• 3 or more years of experience with Windows or Linux system administration.
• 3 or more years of experience communicating with customer representatives in a variety of forums, in both written and spoken form, regarding technical subjects.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights as needed.
• High School diploma or equivalent and 9 or more years of related experience, Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years of related experience, or Master's degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
