Ascendis Pharma is a fast-growing biopharmaceutical company with locations in Denmark, Germany, and the United States. We are applying our TransCon technology to build a leading, fully integrated biopharmaceutical company with an independent pipeline of long-acting prodrug therapies that address unmet patient needs.
You will join the Ascendis Pharma Global IT, Application Delivery organization, consisting of product teams delivering to business value streams. You will be a key member of the Global Support Functions Product Team, responsible for delivering and managing applications that cater to our support functions on a global scale.
The team is known for high quality, collaborative, fast paced and consistently delivering to our HR functions, Legal, Facilities, Patents, Internal Communication and Compliance utilizing the latest trends in technology to enable business strategy.
The US HR organization, which you will be supporting as your primary customers, is based in Palo Alto, CA. You will collaborate with the Business stakeholders, IT Product Owner, and Product Team, and use your agile and industry experience to articulate what success looks like for a given product and rally the product team to turn that vision into reality.
You will be reporting to People Leader, Global IT based in Palo Alto, California.
Your responsibilities:
- Serve as the System Manager for IT Systems enabling US HR business processes with technology platforms such as ADP Workforce as well as other global applications and integrations.
- Forge collaborative partnerships with fellow system managers overseeing applications such as Workday, Adobe Sign, Cornerstone LMS, and other systems within the context of our U.S. operations.
- Facilitate the discovery of internal customer needs and translate them to backlog items.
- Apply an agile mindset and behavior to effectively collaborate with release team and stakeholder(s).
- Effectively interfaces and communicate with senior management and all key stakeholders to prioritize work to maximize business value creation.
- Develop and manage business relationships with software partners, vendors, and service providers to ensure value realization on our investments.
- Responsible for system administration and technical support, including: resolution of access requests, and incidents; change and release management.
- Facilitate development of training material and conducting end user training escalation and coordination of support requests to software vendors and integration partners conduct periodic reviews to ensure data compliance, GxP, SOX regulations.
- Ensure applications are inspection ready and meets the regulatory and compliance standards as applicable.

Requirements
- You hold a relevant academic degree - minimum a bachelor's degree from IT or Computer science with at least 5 years of experience.Also, we expect you to have 5+ years of experience from a related role supporting HR functions. Furthermore, you have:
- Extensive understanding of Human Capital Management systems & integrations.
- Hands-on knowledge of ADP workforce, Workday and Learning Management systems.
- Preferred IT Business Analysis, project management experience with good understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Travel: 25 - 35 days per year.
- Place of work: Palo Alto, California.
