IT Systems Administrator

What you’ll do: 

As the IT Systems Administrator, you will help maintain, upgrade, and manage the IT infrastructure (software, hardware, and networks). Diagnoses and resolve problems quickly to ensure Torc systems run smoothly and efficiently to keep self-driving vehicles securely on the road! As a key member of the IT support team, this role must possess the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary users in an agile, fast-paced setting. Additional responsibilities include:

• Providing technical support for incoming queries or issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware, with the ability to respond to after-hours help desk requests on a limited basis.
• Installing, configuring, and testing computer software and hardware.
• Ensuring security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and monitoring.
• Monitoring systems and respond appropriately to security or usability issues.
• Managing physical and virtual servers and technology tools.
• Maintaining security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse. Maintaining equipment, materials, and supplies and maintain an inventory for chain of custody and loss control.  Ensuring all equipment is marked and catalog per the asset’s management protocol.

What you’ll need to succeed:  

• Proven experience maintaining operating systems, business applications, security tools, web servers, email, workstations, and networking across multiple platforms on a variety of hardware.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field plus 3+ years of experience; OR Associate’s Degree in technical field plus 5+ years of experience; OR 7+ years equivalent work experience.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Microsoft enterprise technologies (AD, Azure AD, Office365and other various on-prem Microsoft Server tools).
• End-user workstation administration.
• Linux administration and deployment experience(Ansible, AWX).
• Virtualization and VDI experience (VMware, Proxmox, Horizon VDI).
• IAM systems administration (Okta, Azure).
• Enterprise storage solutions (Isilon, Powerstore, general SAN/NAS).
• Enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Nakivo).
• MDM and deployment solutions (Mosyle, Jamf, Intune).
• Network and information security fundamentals.
