Tendeg LLC is a premier spacecraft deployables company. Our novel designs are enabling exciting missions providing high gain antennas for sensor applications and communications. We have multiple antennas on-orbit and numerous flight deliverables occurring in 2023. Our missions include Earth Science (weather, surface deformation and change); LEO, GEO and lunar communications; synthetic aperture radar; and unique radio frequency sensors for commercial and government applications. Title: IT Systems Administrator
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $85,000-$120,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

About the role: We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator that will support one of the following programs:

INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models

SDC: NASA has selected Tendeg to develop a large rectangular aperture deployable antenna for a Surface Deformation and Change mission. Tendeg completed TRL-6 testing of the baseline antenna, which is 7x1.4m and operates at C-band, and is studying a 12x2m configuration at L-band. https://science.nasa.gov/earth-science/decadal-sdc.

2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO to lunar applications.
What you will do:
- Perform a variety of project tasks and requires good communications skills with the ability to work with users diplomatically and skillfully.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
IT System Maintenance and Improvements:
- Provide leadership and expertise as a cybersecurity professional.
- Create or update knowledge base articles to reflect current data and processes; Archive outdated knowledge articles as older processes become obsolete.
- Provide limited server configuration and maintenance regarding network integrations and services, and response to and resolution of system alerts and notifications.
- Establish and securely maintain a network architecture suited for Tendeg services.
- Perform vulnerability scans, establish risk mitigation plans and coordinate resolutions.
- Design, plan, coordinate, and implement network changes to improve and/or expand network.
- Support periodic and focused network assessments related to security, performance, or capacity.
- Collaborate with peers, management, and vendors to provide comprehensive network capabilities to meet the demands of the organization.
- Monitor and secure connectivity to internal, partner and vendor: Configure, monitor, and maintain security of firewalls, switches, routers, wireless assets, remote access, point-to-point virtual private networks, and commercial edge solutions.
Help Desk Support:
- Provide basic IT-related troubleshooting and end-user support among on-site and remote users.
- Exercise judgment and decision making in the diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware and software problems.
- Leverage tools and processes in place to resolve end-user issues quickly and effectively.
- Maintain documentation records to log and track problems and resolutions as appropriate.
- May act as a lead worker in the Technical Support area coordinating efforts amongst other team members and organization’s MSP.
- May develop procedures for the efficient operation of the help desk functions and participates in process improvement activities.
ERP/PLM Implementation:
- Assist in the design, planning implementation and support of a PLM system.
- Assist in the design, planning implementation and support of an ERP system.
- Installing and integrating ERP software/apps.
- Providing training and support for end-users.
- Preparing technical and training manual.
Desired Experience:
- Expertise working in an engineering company.
- Experience with SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, NASTRAN, Autodesk, Thermal Desktop or other similar tools is a plus.
Key job requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience working systems.
- Demonstrated ability to review effective and verifiable requirements – detail oriented.
- Experience with the traditional systems engineering lifecycle, phases, processes, inputs/outputs and artifacts.
- Customer Relationships: basic knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas.
- Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community.
- Good presentation skills with experience to senior decision making and technical audiences.
