KBR is seeking a highly qualified IT Systems Administrator to fill a position in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Job Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Client Operating Systems, specialized software systems, applications that they satisfy organizational, and cyber security requirements for timely, effective, and efficient collection, processing, distribution and storing of data.
• Determine and document organizational system requirements.
• Provide system management and database administration support for servers hosting applications and software systems in a multiuser environment.
• Coordinate system, cyber security, and database administration efforts for specialized software systems in coordination with the designated Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
• Maintain systems/applications on various types of computers, operating in a stand-alone and/or networked connected configuration.
• Sustain current production software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve all system hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Install and upgrade software, including third-party software.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain DoD Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins (IAVA, IAVB) compliance by managing the installation of new software releases, system upgrades and installation of patches to resolve software related issues with the IT systems.
• Install, configure and maintain system backup and recovery.
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize system performance based on tracked monthly metrics (i.e. percentage of system up time, amount of data archived via back-up routines, available data storage capacity, and storage area network utilization and available capacity).
• Monitor system health reports and event logs to identify in anomalies.
• Identify areas of non-compliance by using Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) by utilizing the STIG Viewer tool.
• Ability to perform and analyzes system vulnerabilities using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree or 4 years' work experience in lieu of a degree
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance
