We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join our team in Waltham, MA or St. Petersburg, FL.
Job Summary
The Systems Engineer is responsible for deploying and supporting the end-to-end infrastructure architecture. This position is responsible for maintaining all aspects of our IT technology as well collaborating with the broader team to evaluate current infrastructure and designing technology opportunities that will enable a customer to be successful.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Validate requirements and maintain reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Have a key role on infrastructure team to include management & maintenance systems & environments.
• Play a key role in efforts to optimize and implement virtual endpoints reviewing and aligning to improve and shorten our software development and regression cycles.
• Tier 2 & 3 level of escalation for critical and complicated issues.
• Display and understanding and vision of traditional business technologies with solid execution skills and foundational technical depth.
• Key resource for all of our offices and offshore development teams as well as providing support to our software development teams
• Job requires occasional evening and weekend work. Includes participation in an on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related professional experience, and at least 2-4 years of related technical experience.
• Multi-year, and multi-project experience with the design, implementation and support of Linux technologies.
• Experience with a variety of technical services and technologies. Server-based architecture design and integration experience critical.
• Experience with various virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V and OpenStack a plus.
• Technical expertise with multiple scripting languages and automation tools a plus.
• Experience with Nutanix Hyper Converged Infrastructure a plus.
• Virtual Desktop and Desktop as a Service (DaaS) experience a plus.
• Analytical skills to identify and work around complex system problems.
• Solid and well used analytical and strategic skills with clear basis of understanding of lifecycle management.
• Solid experience writing technical documentation and policies.
• Superior interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning to understand requirements as well as solid verbal and documentation skills.
• Reasonable relationship management and performance management skills.
• Team player - someone who is as interested in other's success as your own with a passion for providing world-class service.
• Experience working within an Agile framework.

Working Conditions

• Indoor office environment with work from home/hybrid options available.

Physical Requirements

• This role is regularly required to walk, climb stairs, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
