As a Software Systems Engineer and member of an Agile Capability Team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop and deploy leading edge engineering and product configuration solutions that will deliver value to our customers. The team leverages multiple technologies including Azure cloud to deliver these new innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct application installation, configuration, and testing.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems.
- Initially diagnose and get appropriate teams involved in the resolution (problem escalation & routing).
- Deliver effective and timely communications regarding technical operational issues/problems, requests, and projects.
- Establish operational excellence procedures.
- Perform specific application analysis and/or re-engineering.
- Monitor and manage changes, problems, requests, related to the Finance Applications.
- Develop technical documentation (processing, procedures, capabilities, training, etc).
- Work with customers, other technical personnel, 3rd Party software vendors to test and resolve application related issues, new development, or expansion.
- Perform data modeling for internal application integration.
- Build proactive monitors for the notification of problems.
- Responsible for day-to-day tactical management of application availability.
- Act as an advisor to those responsible for strategic planning in the organization by collecting, analyzing, and distilling information regarding Finance Applications and related technologies, and then reports and make recommendations to key decision makers based on their findings.
- Support application expansion efforts (new acquisitions and/or mergers).
- Support application implementation programs (patches, releases, enhancements, new development, etc).
- Work with customer and 3rd Party software vendor to implement application changes that require "on-demand" changes.
- Provide SME (subject matter expertise) to associates, internal customers, and business.
- Assist other IT associates in their problem identification and resolutions.
- Assist business teammates in their problem identifications and resolutions by providing application analysis and troubleshooting.
- Deliver the following areas of problem control:
- Known-error control
- Proactive Problem Management
- Trend identification
- Reporting Problem Management data
- Structured reviews of major problems
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or relevant experience
- Legal authorization to work in the US as Rockwell Automation will not now or in the future offer sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar technical discipline
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Experience in systems development lifecycle
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with server-side architectures and system design and development
- Experience with deploying COTS applications as physical and cloud-based solutions
- Experience with automating service availability processes
- Background in identifying, defining, and implementing application monitoring to ensure system stability, availability, and performance
- Strong understanding of ITIL Framework
- Firm knowledge of ServiceNow processes and integrations
- Understanding of financial and accounting systems
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for finance and accounting systems in a global setting (i.e., SOX, GDPR)
- Experience with SAP ECC environments and integrations
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions
- Strong teamwork, customer service and organizational skills
- This position can be performed from any US location.
- The base salary compensation range for this role is $105,520 to $158,20 USD Annual with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Our company benefits can be found at raquickfind.com.
