Who you are:

As an IT Talent Development Leader, you are responsible for the overall onboarding, technical development, and talent acquisition of IT staff. In this role, you will enhance existing practices and design new programs to optimize IT talent for both new and existing IT staff in the organization. You will be responsible for identifying new recruiting channels, developing and formalizing curriculum, monitor onboarding and training progress, enhance training delivery approaches, and collaborate with partners in Staff Development. You will work closely with IT leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure that the training program aligns with the company's goals and objectives. More than that, this role is about developing people and doing it with integrity, caring and excellence in mind.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with HR to enhance existing recruiting practices and develop new recruiting channels both internal and external to Frost
  • Negotiate and establish new partnership with third parties and develop new internal channels like "Frost Technology Academy"
  • Create "Frost Technology Academy" targeted at developing motivated internal candidates in other departments such as Operations, Customer Service, and others who are interested in pursuing an IT career; design curriculum and materials to meet those needs
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training program for IT staff aligned with company's goals and objectives
  • Identify the training and competency development needs of new hires and existing staff based on career track (Engineering, Product, Scrum Master etc.)
  • Monitor training metrics for new hires and existing IT groups to report and track progress and results and identify improvements, as needed
  • Identify web-based trainings and industry standard certifications which can help in upskilling or reskilling to be part of the employee's goals and objectives
  • Participate in on-campus recruiting, as well as partnering with Software Engineering programs to participate in Capstone learning engagements
  • Mentor and support IT staff as they progress through the training program
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in technology training
  • Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What you'll need:

  • Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent experience in IT and/or learning and development
  • 8+ years of experience in technology or software engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in training, learning and development, or a management and mentorship role; preferably, significant experience with classroom based adult education
  • Experience successfully creating and spearheading a critical and large initiative within an organization
  • Ability to articulate and communicate a program philosophy to multiple stakeholders across an organization
  • Experience marketing a program to employees and managers and achieving buy-in from all levels
  • Analytical skills and mindset to work with data from various sources to form robust conclusions and recommendations
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to represent Frost while developing and engaging community partnerships that support recruiting and training goals
  • Delivery focused with strong planning and organizational skills to lead and manage projects and initiatives and to design and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose
  • Experience mentoring and developing others at scale in a technology organization

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Significant experience in classroom based adult education where technology concepts are taught
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate learners on their mastery of technology topics
