Ag Processing Inc is currently hiring for an agricultural production IT Technical Analyst to provide daily support of the Agris software including OneWeigh, binSight, and Bulkweigh. This newly created position will work with IT and business leadership to implement business best practices, adhere to computer purchase standards, communicate with vendors for product support and break fix issues. You will also review current procedures for process improvement recommendations.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Provide daily support for plant and elevator Agris software systems, including but not limited to, OneWeigh, binSight, and Bulkweigh.
  • Test operating software releases and patches against software for potential issues and discuss with IT leadership results
  • Support and provide break-fix analysis on hardware including, but not limited to, PCs, printers, scale indicators, bulkweigh units, message boards, RF badge readers, and phone or intercom devices
  • Provide off-hour break-fix remote support for all plant and elevator facilities operating 24/7
  • Maintain and provide input into documentation, including site-specific configuration information, break-fix processes, software installation steps, and procedures for various tasks.
  • Follow the defined technology strategy roadmap and execution through collaboration with IT leadership
  • Optional travel to plant locations to provide onsite support of hardware and processes
  • Communicate with infrastructure teams for network connectivity and equipment installations.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelors' degree in Computer Application or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in computer software support or equivalent
  • Grain industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Agris software including OneWeigh, binSight, and Bulkweigh
  • Agricultural production/manufacturing industry along with general business and accounting practices knowledge preferred
  • Skill in configuring and customizing computer software programs
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong written and oral communication needed to effectively communicate with management, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to be on-call as needed
