What You Will Do

This role is a part of our global Marketing Information and Digital solutions team, a central & global team supporting applications for Marketing & Market research representatives and other users worldwide. You'll join the team to provide technical expertise across global platforms and help create strategic solutions that change how our users conduct their work and interact with healthcare professionals to educate on our products worldwide.

More specifically, you'll:
  • Be responsible for deploying, enhancing , validate and help adoption of IT solution in Marketing space.
  • solve business problems and improve business processes by identifying and ensuring the most appropriate IT solutions are deployed.
  • Partner with solution architecture to deliver reliable, scalable, quality, secure solutions to our customers.
  • Ensure architecture principles are followed and adhered to. Evaluates the application lifecycle against the solution architecture roadmap and executes appropriate retirement/replacement
  • Author business cases, validation documentation and cost/benefit analysis to ensure capability is competitive, compliant, and effective
  • Requirements gathering & propose changes to existing services, systems, and capabilities for the business area
  • Oversee vendor partners teams without direct reporting responsibilities
  • Collaborate with others (internally & externally) to provide technical leadership for solution delivery, anticipating & resolving key integrations and technical issues that impact a broad domain or solution
  • Have a mindset to deliver with speed without sacrificing quality or security

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a computer science or information technology related field OR a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field with a minimum of two (2) years' experience
  • Effective analytical, problem solving, and investigative skills - able to anticipate and resolve key integrations and technical issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively translate business needs and process into technical terms, and vice versa
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position


Additionally, you'll preferably have:
  • 2+ years experience in Information Technology with proven track record in IT project delivery
  • Feel passion about technology and how this can make an impact
  • 2+ years Proven experience/knowledge of Sales & Marketing Business processes and the systems that support these processes
  • Experience in fast-paced problem management
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a dynamic, constantly evolving environment
  • Proactive mindset that can solve issues and involve stakeholders as needed
  • Strong learning agility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build networks/partnerships with diverse groups of individuals and to work effectively within geographically dispersed team and partners
  • Strong self-management skills and ability to work in ambiguity
  • Certifications in information technology processes, such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library)
  • Certifications or experience in Agile project delivery, especially Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Certifications or experience in cloud technologies, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience working with a diverse and non-collocated global team
  • Experience in a regulated industry - pharmaceutical preferred


Where You'll Do It:

You'll have a hybrid work environment, with your home-base being our corporate campus in downtown Indianapolis. You will have flexibility to work remotely in this position but will need to be able to regularly come into the office to partner with others and collaborate with your team.
